It’s a dream partnership: Springbok rugby player, Canan Moodie, and Incanda Furniture, two homegrown success stories that emerged from the rugged beauty of the Boland. We’re both proud to call Paarl home, and our paths have now come full circle through a collaboration grounded in shared roots, local pride, and a belief in the power of community.
“Paarl taught me the value of hard work, humility, and staying grounded no matter where life takes you”. For Canan, Paarl isn’t just where he grew up, it forms the foundation of his character. That same ethos is stitched into every Incanda piece, crafted just a stone’s throw from where Canan first laced up his boots.
Partnering with Incanda was more than a branding decision for Canan, it was personal. “It honestly means a lot,” he says. “Seeing local people from my area craft something with such pride and quality — and now to be part of that story is something I am really proud of”.

His home now features several Incanda items, but it’s the Tulbagh Leather Corner Couch that stands out. Much like Canan himself, the piece blends strength with unmistakable South African character. “Strong, stylish, and comfortable; it just works with how I like to relax when I’m home,” he says.
But beyond furniture, this partnership champions something bigger: local talent. “Supporting a brand like Incanda is not just about buying furniture, it’s about backing our people, their skills, and their stories,” Canan emphasised.
Carrying that conviction forward, his message to young South Africans is one of hope and belief. “I want them to know their background can be their strength. If you stay focussed and humble, you can represent your country on the biggest stages”.
From local fields to global arenas, Canan Moodie and Incanda both carry a piece of Paarl with them, proving that sometimes, greatness begins right at home.
