At Incanda, we believe in caring for Mother Nature, and protecting the planet we live on. That’s why we have sustainability practices in place, to ensure that our products don’t harm the world around us. But we don’t believe in having sustainability as a separate practice – rather, we embed a sustainable way of thinking into everything we do. Because we want your family’s environment to be as beautiful as your Incanda furniture.
We still have a long way to go to ensuring environmental sustainability, but the following practices are already in place:
- We only use wood that is either classified as invasive species in its country of origin or wood that has been grown in a plantation – no wood originating from a virgin forest will ever go through our facility.
- In line with our modern organic look, we strive for a healthy balance between showcasing the imperfections in wood and leather and giving the client a high-quality end product. It is certainly easier and quicker to just cut all imperfections away, but then you create a terrible amount of extra waste, something Incanda actively strives to avoid.
- The bulk of Incanda’s electricity is supplied by solar panels.
- We have cut our water consumption by 80% by doing serious rain harvesting.
