Sometimes grace comes your way very unexpectedly…
That is why it is so amazing!
At Incanda we were shell-shocked by the lockdown announcement,
like everyone else.
We decided to let our manufacturing team work remotely to keep some of our momentum going. We also combined this with our Lockdown SALE. That is where the grace part comes in…The response was astounding!
We are happy to share a few more pictures by our talented in-house photographer, Linia Cronjé, of our home working stations to tell the story.
The South African public rallied, and we have made triple the amount of sales initially anticipated. We sold over 310 Douglas couches. We sold 423 hand-stitched chairs. We sold 201 of our iconic painters’ benches.
Take a look at some of our frequently asked questions:
When will you open up again?
Our online store is open and we are gradually sending out deliveries. We were recently allowed to re-open our factory in Paarl at a restricted capacity, so we are trying our utmost best to make up for lost time, but as you can imagine, we are very busy!
I placed an order before Lockdown started, when can I expect it to be ready?
Our clients who placed their orders before Lockdown started will be contacted by our logistics team regarding an adjusted lead-time.
I placed an order during Lockdown, what is the lead-time?
Our clients who placed their orders during the lockdown will be contacted regarding promise dates, however we are only able to start fixing said dates from Level 3 onwards- at the moment it is difficult to establish exactly when we will be able to deliver your orders.
We would like to assure you that we have received your order and we are trying to process it as soon as possible, in and amongst all of our restrictions and reduced productive capacity. We have an immense amount of orders to complete and have had to extend our conventional lead-time, but we aspire to promptly finish all of our hand-crafted, quality items without rushing.
Can I still order Incanda furniture now?
Of course! Although our Lockdown Sale has come to an end, you are welcome to place an order online or through one of our consultants. If you are a client with the prospect of buying Incanda furniture, we would like to ask for your patience in advance, as the backlog will determine a lead-time of up to three months…We want to aim for eight weeks, but just to be safe in our estimate- we would have to say 12, taken current Lockdown regulations into account.
We are grateful for your understanding and spirit of grace during these unprecedented times and will continue to keep you updated! We can’t wait to safely deliver our furniture to our clients across the country, one day at a time.
We sincerely thank you for your support and ask for your patience as we assemble your orders under extraordinary circumstances.
