There’s so much stress that goes into buying furniture, especially when it affects your budget. Fortunately, with the new Incanda range – Urban Tankwa – you can now furnish your home on a budget without compromising on quality.
The Urban Tankwa range is inspired by the harsh, almost barren environment of the Tankwa Karoo and, despite the barren open spaces, it inspires simplicity and honesty. The Tankwa Karoo’s beauty lies in the fact that it needs no decoration to simply leave you in awe. This inspired us to create a functional range with a minimalist aesthetic. Designed for homeowners with smaller compact apartments in mind, the range is light and fresh.
HIDE AWAY YOUR CLUTTER
If it’s clutter you’re worried about, the Urban Tankwa collection combines lighter steel tube bases with different veneer boxes, cubes and tops for an organised lifestyle and home. It’s also perfect for open modern spaces that need extra storage spaces to avoid clutter.

The Urban Tankwa Collection combines sleek lines with ample storage space, perfect for keeping your odds and ends hidden in a modern way.
DESIGNED FOR MODERN HOMES
For this range we used a veneer wood, a sustainable alternative to solid hardwood. Veneer offers the look and feel of solid wood without the extra weight, and the more stable core of chipboard or plywood prevents the normal movement associated with solid wood. What’s also great about the Urban Tankwa Collection is that it is easy to maintain. Simply wipe with a damp cloth and keep up with a light furniture polish every now and then.
FROM THE DESIGNER

The perfect side table for book lovers, the open cube bedside table provides easy access to your book, magazine or tablet.
We decided to ask our fantastic designer, Ockerlene Endemann, about the Urban Tankwa Collection and what inspired her.
Who is the Tankwa range designed for, and why?
Anybody really – but it works very well in smaller spaces where large heavy solid wood pieces will make a room feel crowded and heavy. It is particularly popular with young couples and people starting off on their career journey.
Do you have any tips on how to incorporate the range in different living spaces?
The 6 Drawer Server Chest works well as either a dresser in a bedroom or as a server in your living/dining area.
Any tips for on furniture buying for homeowners who live in smaller spaces?
Heavy bulky pieces will make the space feel smaller – keep pieces light and open and opt for extra storage where possible. For instance – our two-drawer coffee table adds much needed living room storage space in an item that’s already taking up floor space.
What other Incanda item works well with the Urban Tankwa range?
Our Heidelberg couch continues the steel / industrial look and really goes well with any of the Tankwa pieces.
What is your favourite product from the range and why?
The nesting side table set is practical for small spaces with limited floor space when not in use, but easily add that necessary extra surface area when needed.

Perfect in a smaller space, the Tankwa set of side tables fit neatly together when not in use.
